MOITI is directly responsible for the negotiation and administration of all international agreements on behalf of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. At present we are party to more than 30 bilateral agreements with sister states and international development agencies. This responsibility includes meeting with foreign delegations and when appropriate, providing assistance to trade and economic missions or officials that visit the state. MOITI also maintains active relationships with the more than 50 Consular offices operating in Massachusetts.
