Christa Bleyleben, Executive Director
Massachusetts Office of International Trade & Investment
Christa Bleyleben was appointed Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office of International Trade & Investment in September 2005 following more than 20 years in international banking and finance.
Before assuming her current role, Christa was Managing Director in the Global Financial Institutions Group at Banc of America Securities LLC, managing a team responsible for a diverse portfolio of major international banking groups. Prior to the merger with Bank of America Corp, Christa was Managing Director and Group Head of FleetBoston’s International Financial Institutions Division. In that role she oversaw the bank’s teams in Boston, New York, London and Hong Kong which were responsible for global relationships with more than 250 top-tier banking groups headquartered in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Canada, Latin America as well as select central banks and multi-national organizations. In her earlier banking career Christa was Chief Foreign Exchange trader at BankBoston.
Christa holds a Master’s in Business Administration and international finance, from the Vienna School of Business in Austria and has attended several executive programs on non-for-profit management and global branding at Kellogg School of Management, Chicago and at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Christa is a native of Vienna, Austria and is fluent in German and proficient in French.
